Grounds Maintenance for Care Settings
We specialist in providing ongoing grounds maintenance contracts for nursing homes, residential care facilities, convents, hospices and retirement villages. We understand that these environments place a higher demand on your grounds contractor than a standard commercial site - and we have built our service specifically to meet that demand.

What Makes Care Settings Different
A nursing home or residential care facility is a home - not a business park or office complex. The people who live there deserve outdoor spaces that are safe, welcoming and thoughtfully maintained. And the management, staff and families of residents need a contractor they can trust to show up, do excellent work, and cause no disruption.
That means:
- Quiet operation - no distressing noise near residents' rooms or communal areas
- No exhaust fumes through open windows or near building ventilation
- Reliable, scheduled visits - never cancelled without notice and rescheduled promptly
- Professional and considerate staff on site at all times
- Safe working practices, particularly around residents using outdoor areas
- Ground that look genuinely cared for - not just 'done'

What an Aspect Landscaping Maintenance Contract Includes
We offer annual grounds maintenance contracts tailored to the size, layout and specific needs of your facility. A typical contract includes:
- Scheduled grass cutting and lawn maintenance throughout the growing season
- Hedge and shrub trimming to an agreed annual programme
- Flowerbed maintenance - weeding, deadheading, mulching, tidying
- Seasonal bedding installation - Spring and Autumn colour
- Path and hard surface maintenance - weed and moss clearance, edging
- Autumn leaf clearance from paths, lawns and patios
- Pressure washing and softwashing of hard surfaces as scheduled
- Fall-protection rubber tile installation and maintenance (optional)
- Ad-hoc call-out service for urgent or storm-related works
All contracts include a named account manager, a written schedule of visits, and an annual review meeting to discuss any changes to your requirements

The Battery Equipment Advantage
We know that many facilities have had poor experiences with grounds contractors - unreliable, noisy, or simply not suited to a care environment. Our investment in Stihl's professional battery range was a direct response to that.
- Petrol lawnmowers typically operate at 85 - 95 dB - equivalent to heavy traffic or a food blender
- Our battery mowers operate at approximately 60 - 70 dB - similar to conversation
- Zero exhaust fumes - no CO, NOx or particulate matter near residents or open windows
- Rechargeable on-site or from our own vehicle - no fuel deliveries or storage on your premises
For residents with dementia, PTSD, anxiety disorders or sensory sensitivities, the reduction in noise and chemical smell is genuinely significant. For facility managers, it removes a common source of complaints from residents and families.

Fall Protection Surfaces
Outdoor falls are a serious concern in care settings. Hard paved surfaces - particularly when wet, mossy and uneven - represent a significant risk to residents using outdoor areas.
We supply and install interlocking rubber safety tiles. These surfaces:
- Significantly reduce impact force in the event of a fall
- Provide better grip than smooth paving, particularly when wet
- Drain freely - no pooling or ice retention
- Are comfortable underfoot for residents with mobility challenges
- Require minimal maintenance - simply sweep and wash
We carry out a site assessment, advise on the most appropriate tile specification and install to a high standard with neat, professional finishing
